3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Cream the butter and sugar, add the eggs and applesauce. Sift the dry ingredients and add to the applesauce mixture. Mix thoroughly. Roll, cut out and fry in deep oil or fat at 375.
