1 lb. ground beef
1 meduim onion, chopped
3 - 14oz. cans beef consomme
28oz. can diced, or crushed tomatoes
3 carrots, sliced
3 celery stalks, sliced
8 T. barley
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 T. dried parsley
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef and onions in skillet. Drain. Combine all ingredients in crock pot. Cover. Cook on High 3 hours, or on Low 6 - 8 hours.
Serves 10.
