Cake:
1 1/4 c. cooking oil
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 c. apples, chopped
1 c. nuts, chopped
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
Sauce:
1 c. brown sugar
1 T. butter
1 1/2 to 2 T. flour
1 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cake: Mix together all ingredients and bake at 350 for 45 minutes then reduce heat to 275 and cook for 15 minutes more.
Sauce: In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, flour, water, and vanilla. Cook until thick and pour over cake after it is out of the oven and while it is still hot.
