1 German chocolate cake mix
1 cup evaporated milk
12 oz. chocolate chips
3/4 cup butter softened
14 oz. package of caramels

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Combine cake mix, butter and 1/2 cup of the evaporated milk together. Press half the mixture into a greaased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 9 minutes. Remove from oven. Unwrap caramels and melt in the microwave for 2 minutes. Pour 1/2 cup evaporated milk in with the caramels and mix. Pour over the first layer in the 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the caramel layer. Spread the rest of the batter mixture on top of the chocolate layer and bake for 25 minutes.
