3 - 4 pounds chicken (cut in pieces)
1/3 cup seasoned flour (salt & pepper)
1/4 cup butter
1 can (10 1/2 oz.) cream of chicken or celery soup
2 1/2 tablespoons minced onion
1 teaspoon salt - dash of pepper
1 teaspoon chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon celery flakes
1/8 teaspoon thyme
1 1/3 cups of water
1 1/3 cups of minute rice

Roll chicken in seasoned flour, brown in butter. Remove chicken, stir soup, seasoning and water into drippings. Cook and stir to boil. Spread minute rice (right from box) in 1 3/4 quarts shallow casserole pan. Pour all but 1/3 cup of soup mixture over rice, stir to moisten. Top with chicken and rest of soup mixture. Bake covered at 350 for 1 hour or until tender.
