1 cup flour 1 cup corn meal 2 T sugar 1 T baking powder 1 tsp salt 1 or 2 eggs 1/3 cup oil 1 cup milk
Mix and bake at 400° for 25 minutes.
Wonderful smells always came from Mom's kitchen and it was delightful when she “put on” a pot of beans, made “slaw” and her delicious cornbread. This recipe was written down by her with her beans and slaw recipes.
