5 qts. popcorn, popped – put in a 250° oven, remove unpopped kernels
1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
˝ cup white Karo syrup
1 tsp salt
˝ tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Heat butter, sugar, syrup and salt in a heavy saucepan on high heat. Cook until sugar dissolves. Put in a candy thermometer, reduce heat and cook until 248° (5 – 10 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Stir until it is “frothy”. Pour over popped corn and stir to coat evenly. Put in 250° oven for 15 minutes. Stir. Return to oven for 15 minutes. Stir. Return again for the last 15 minutes. Turn out onto foil to cool. Store in an airtight container.
