"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
1 cup butter 1 cup margarine 2 cups sugar 1 pkg. slivered almonds 12 oz. chocolate chips
Boil together, stirring constantly until mixture turns dark (crack stage). Pour onto cookie sheet and allow to cool but not too cool to melt chocolate. Sprinkle with 12 oz. chocolate chips - spread when melted. Sprinkle with nuts.
Option: You can sprinkle half of the nuts into the bottom of an 8x8" pan; use Hershey bars for the chocolate top; and sprinkle the rest of the nuts on top of the chocolate.
