2 cups dry bread crumbs
4 cups milk scalded
1 Tbs butter
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
4 slightly beaten eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Grease baking dish. Soak bread in milk for 5 minutes. Add butter, salt and sugar. Pour slowly over eggs. Add vanilla and mix well. Pour into baking dish. Bake in pan of hot water at 350F for about 50 minutes, until firm. Insert knife to check firmness. If it doesn't adhere to knife its okay.
