1 (15oz) box raisin bran 1 c. melted shortening or oil 3 c. sugar 5 c. flour 5 Tsp baking soda 2 tsp salt 4 eggs beaten 1 qt. buttermilk
Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Combine beaten eggs, oil and buttermilk. Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix well. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator. Bake as you need (or all at once) at 400ºF for 15-20 minutes. More raisin or nuts may be added.
