2 Cups sugar 2 cups whipping cream 1 ¾ cups DARK corn syrup 1 Cup butter 2 Tsp vanilla 3 Cup chopped nuts (Pecans)
Make sure that you use a heavy pan, add all ingredients except the vanilla and pecans. Bring to a soft boil until just before 240 (239)on candy thermometer. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a buttered cake pan and cut when nearly cold. Wrap in waxed paper or plastic.
This is a Christmas Tradition in the Deetz Family and now passed on to the Lehman family! I can not ever remember a Christmas without either making or just eating them!!!
