1 c. sugar
2 large eggs
1 c. canned pumpkin
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. cream cheese
2 T. butter, softened
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9-inch square pan.

Prepare cake: In bowl, with mixer at medium speed, beat sugar and eggs 2 minutes. Beat in pumpkin and oil. At low speed, add flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; beat 1 minute.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool pumpkin cake in pan on wire rack.

Prepare frosting: In bowl, with mixer at low speed, beat powdered sugar and remaining ingredients 2 minutes or until fluffy; use to frost cake.
