CAKE:
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 c. water
1/2 c. shortening
3 1/2 T. cocoa
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

ICING:
1 stick butter
3 1/2 T. cocoa
1/3 c. milk
1 lb. powdered sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400.
In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar.
In sauce pan, add butter, water, shortening and cocoa. Bring to boil. Remove from heat and spoon mixture into bowl with flour and sugar. Mix well and pour into a greased 12 x 18 cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes at 400.
While cake is baking, prepare icing. It will need to be applied immediately when cake comes out of the oven.
In sauce pan, bring to boil butter, cocoa and milk. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, nuts and vanilla. Pour over cake as soon as it comes out of the oven.
