3/4 pound bulk Italian sausage
1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
3 Cups Beef broth
1- 14 ounce can Italian style tomatoes, cut up
1 Cup thinly sliced carrots
1 T snipped fresh basil, or 1 t dried basil, crushed
1 T snipped fresh parsley
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/8 t pepper
1 Cup sliced squash
1 Cup rotini or small shell macaroni
1/4 Cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
In a large saucepan, cook sausage and onion until browned. Drain in a colander, rinse meat, and drain again. Return to pan and stir in broth, undrained tomatoes, carrot, basil, parsley, garlic, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Stir in squash and rotini- return to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 10-15 minutes- until pasta and veggies are tender. Sprinkle each serving with Parmesan cheese.
