Sweet & Sour Pork Recipe

1/2 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. lean pork cut in 3/4 inch cubes
1 well beaten egg
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c vinegar
1/3 c pineapple juice
1/4 c catsup
1 tsp. soy sauce
2 T. cornstarch
2 T. water
1 cup pineapple chunks (drained)
1 medium green pepper cut in 1/2 inch pieces
Hot cooked rice or noodles

Combine flour and salt. Dip pork in beaten egg, then in flour mixture; coat well. Fry pork in deep hot fat 360 till browned and done, 6-8 minutes. Drain on paper towel. Keep warm. In wok or deep skillet, combine sugar, vinegar, pineapple juice, catsup and soy sauce; bring to boil. Blend cornstarch with cold water. Continue cooking stirring constantly till mixture is thickened and bubbly. Stir in warm pork cubes, drained pineapple. Heat, stirring constantly till mixture is heated through, 5 minutes. Serve with rice or noodles.
