4 Eggs
1 Cup Sugar
2 tsp B.P. (what the hell is this)
1 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup nuts
3 cups dates (cut fine)
Vanilla to taste
2 tbls paraffin
6 pkgs of German Sweet Chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs & sugar
Add remaining ingredients. Bake one hour @ 325 in two greased and floured bread pans. Remove from pans, cool, and wrap well and refrigerate at least over-night.
Slice into 1/4" slices and then cut each slice in half. Dip in melted pariffin and chocolate mixture. Scrape each cookie and set on waxed paper to set.

For you younger sibs, Mom tried to burn the house down once while melting the pariffin for these cookies. Or maybe is was for canning. I'm sure she won't remember on purpose.
