1 1/4 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
2 eggs
1 cup ripe bananas
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup walnuts

Cream sugar and shortening. Add soda, salt, vanilla, lemon flavoring and eggs. Add ripe bananas, buttermilk, flour and nuts. Bake in well oiled pan at 350 for about 1 hour or until done. Freezes well.
