c sugar
2 Tbsp cornstarch
tsp salt
2 c milk
2 egg yolks
2 tsp butter
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients in saucepan. Gradually stir in milk. Stir constantly over medium heat till mixture thickens and boils. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat and slowly add @ mixture into egg yolks. Pour back into sauce pan and boil 1 more minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and blend in butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell.

For Chocolate, add 1 oz chocolate with milk or c cocoa with dry ingredients.
For Banana, add 2 sliced bananas to base recipe.
For Coconut, add c chopped and toasted coconut to cooked filling.

This recipe is courtesy of Mrs. Koontz, my junior high school Home Ec teacher. I still use this recipe to make my Banana Cream Pie and my Coconut Cream Pie. MMMMMMM!!!!!!
