1 1/2 cup butter
2 1/4 cup sugar
3 large or 4 small eggs
3 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup water
1 1/2 cup nuts
4 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 cups raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with the milk and water. Beat well. Add the oatmeal, raisins, and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 even for 12-15 minutes.

In my book I have this recipe with the notes to triple it. You kids loved these cookies and so I have included it with the large batch. Keep in mind this makes a lot of cookies. Try it once as is before you make any modifications to it.
