¾ c dark corn syrup
1/3 c packed brown sugar
¼ c butter
1/8 tsp salt
2/3 c chopped pecans
½ c chocolate chips
1 pkg chocolate cake mix (Duncan Hines is suggested), prepared as directed on box

Directions:
Directions:
Combine corn syrup, brown sugar, butter and salt in saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour into a 9"x9” pan and let cool. Add nuts, chips, and ½ the cake mix batter to cooled syrup in pan. Bake at 350° for 35 - 40 minutes. Turn out of pan immediately. Serve warm, topped with whipped cream or ice cream.

I would imagine you could double this recipe, use a 9"x13" pan and all of the cake batter......
