2 c sugar
1 c light corn syrup
1 c whole milk
2 tsp vanilla (Add this the very last)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
c heavy cream
4 Tbsp butter

Apples and popsicle sticks

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together in a heavy pan over medium heat. When the mixture reaches 230 add vanilla. Continue cooking until 235 degrees and immediately dip or ladle caramel over the apples. Place on parchment paper or set on a plate with a nice layer of powdered sugar so it won't stick to the bottom.

The key to this recipe is to follow it exactly. Watch the temperature of your thermometer. These are a treat I wait every fall for Pam to make and share with me.
