6 c flour
1 egg, well beaten
1 tsp salt
c mashed potato, unseasoned
1 pkg yeast
1/8 c warm water
2 c whole milk
1 c sugar
c butter
1 Tbsp fresh crushed cardamom

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. In small saucepan, scald milk, with sugar, over medium low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent scorching. Cool and add to yeast. Add egg, salt, potato, cardamom and butter. Add flour, stirring after every 2 c. Let dough raise to double, twice. Divide dough and roll to thick and cut into diamond shapes. Brush diamonds with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Place rolls on greased cookie sheets. Cover and let raise until doubled. Bake at 400 for 15 - 20 minutes.
