"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Cheddar Mustard Sauce, by Julie Withers, is from The "W" Family Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
2 tbl. butter 2 tbl. flour 2 c. milk 3 c. shredded cheddar cheese 3 tbl. spicy brown mustard (Gulden's)
In a medium sauce pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the flour - cook for 1 minute, then whisk in the milk. When the milk comes to a bubble, stir in the cheeses and mustard with a wooden spoon.
