2 C brown sugar
3/4 c shortening
2 eggs
3 T sweet milk
1 t soda
1 t cinnamon
1 t salt
2 c flour
3 cups quick cooking oats

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Cream together shortening, eggs, sugar and milk. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly brown.

I found that dark brown sugar gives a good taste, but the cookies get very hard. You can mix 1/2 dark brown and 1/2 white sugar if you'd like. Julia
