5# potatoes, thinly sliced 4 T margarine 4 T flour 2 c milk 12 slices American cheese
Preheat oven to 375º. Layer sliced potatoes in a 9x13 pan. Salt and pepper each layer. Set aside.
Melt margarine over low heat. Remove from heat. Add flour and stir until creamy. Add milk and reheat, stir often. Add cheese and stir until cheese melts. Pour over potatoes. Bake for 1 - 1 1/2 hours until cheese is brown and bubbly.
