Chicken with Herbs Recipe

1 (3 lb) broiler-fryer
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp rosemary
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp marjoram
2 TBS parsley flakes
1 pkg dried chives
1 c. dry white wine
juice of 1 lemon
1 beef bouillon cube
1 small onion sliced
1/2 c. cornstarch

Soak chicken overnight in salted water. Then drain, wash and split up back. Salt chicken. Add herbs, sprinkling or as rub. Then add wine, lemon juice, bouillon cube and onion.

Cover and cook until fork tender. Remove chicken and add 1/2 c. thickening to pan juices. (Recommend cornstarch.) Return chicken to pan; heat slowly until gravy thickens and cornstarch is done.
