1-1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup quick cooking oats
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses

Preheat oven to 375.sift together in mixing bowl. flour,sugar,soda,salt,cinnamon and ginger. Add shortening, egg and molasses. Beat until smooth. Stir in oatmeal.Drop 1 tsp. onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10-11 min. Allow to stand for a few min. before removing from coookie sheet. Makes 3 doz.
