2 sticks margarine or butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp vanilla

GLAZE:

1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
1 TBS rum flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add dry ingredients and vanilla. Pour batter into ungreased tube pan and bake one hour at 350 degrees.

Just before cake comes out of oven, cook stirring together 1 1/2 cups sugar, 3/4 cup water. Bring to rolling boil and boil 1 minute. Add 1 TBS rum flavoring or rum and pour over hot cake in pan.
