2 cups self rising white cornmeal
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1 egg beaten
1 cup cracklins

Directions:
Directions:
Put 2 tbsp of bacon fat or lard in a black iron skillet and place in an oven at 450 degrees. Let the shortening melt and skillet get very hot while you blend the remaining incredients together. Pour into hot skillet and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes.
