2 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small green pepper, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 c. dark molasses
1/2 c. packed dark brown sugar
1 T. dry mustard

3 cans (15-16 oz.) pinto beans, rinsed and drained

1. In 3-quart saucepan, cook bacon until brown; add onion and pepper and cook over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are lightly browned and almost tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in ketchup, molasses, sugar, mustard and 1/4 tsp. salt; cook 2 to 3 minutes to blend flavors, stirring occasionally.

2. Stir beans into mixture in saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, uncovered, 20 minutes or until sauce is thick and syrupy, stirring occasionally.
