1 lb. pork or veal, diced
2 T. shortening
1/4 tsp. salt
2 T. soy sauce
1 c. beef broth
1 c. onion, chopped
2 c. celery, thinly sliced
1 c. bean sprouts, or 1 can bean sprouts, drained
1 T. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 T. molasses
3/4 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saute pan, brown meat in shortening. Add soy sauce and broth. Cover and cook until meat is tender. Add onions, celery, and bean sprouts. Cook for 10 minutes. Blend cornstarch, ginger, molasses, and water in a small bowl. Add and stir until thickened. Serve over Chinese noodles with soy sauce and rice.
