1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. margarine
1 scant c. oil
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
4 c. plus 2 T. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 to 2 tsps. vanilla
1 to 2 tsps. lemon, almond, or orange extract (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375F. Using a large mixing bowl, cream butter, margarine, oil, and sugars together. Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and eggs. Mix well. Add vanilla and extracts (if using). Chill overnight. Make into balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and press flat with a small glass dipped in sugar. Bake for 8-11 minutes or until edges are a golden brown.
