1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3 tablespoons sour cream
3 -4 cups flour (sifted)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon or vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, butter, and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Dissolve baking soda in sour cream. Add to the egg mixture. Add the dry ingredients. Form the dough into a ball and refrigerate for 30 -45 minutes. Roll the dough out to desired thickness and cut with cookie cutters. Sprinkle on white sugar or colored sugars. Bake for 10 minutes in a preheated 350 oven.
