1 1/2 lbs. Italian sausage
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 28 oz. Italian style tomatoes, cut up
1 16 oz. can tomato sauce
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage and chop into small pieces. Pour off fat. Add onions and green pepper, cook until tender. Add next 7 ingredients. Simmer uncovered 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

The sauce tastes better when it has been refrigerated overnight and reheated.
