1-2 cloves garlic
2 lbs baking potatoes, peeled
1 c grated gruyere or comte cheese
1 c heavy cream
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Bake 350. Smash garlic on cutting board and rub garlic around inside of shallow, 6-cup porcelain baking dish, layer of potatoes in bottom of dish. Sprinkle with of cheese and half of cream. Sprinkle with salt, layer rest of potatoes, sprinkle rest of cheese and cream on top. Bake uncovered 50- 60 min until cheese is brown and crusted.
