1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 oz. red food coloring
2 cups flour 1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vinegar
1 teaspoon soda
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Cream until real fluffy, shortening sugar, eggs, vanilla, and food coloring. Sift flour, coca, salt and add to first mixture with buttermilk. Mix together vinegar and soda, let foam, fold in, but do not beat
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes

ICING:
1/4 cup flour
1 cup milk
pinch of salt
1 cube oleo
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
cook milk, flour, salt until real thick, add oleo, let set until cold. Add sugar and beat
