Ingredients:
2 - 14 oz. packaages gingerbread mix
2 pkg. vanilla pudding
1 - 30 oz. can pumpkin pie filling - see note below
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/3 tsp. cinnamon
1 - 12 oz. container cool whip
1 c. crushed gingersnaps

Directions:
Directions:
Bake ginerbread according to package directions and cool completely.

Meanwhile, prepare the pudding according to directions on package. Stir the sugar and cinnamon into the pudding - Add the pumpkin filling. NOTE: As some of our family members don't like pumpkin, I omitted adding it to the pudding, and it works just fine without the pumpkin.
You just have a vanilla pudding layer, not a pumpkin pudding layer.

Crumble 1 batch of the gingerbread into the bottom of a trifle container. Pour 1/2 of the pudding mixture over the gingerbread, then add a layer of whipped topping. Repeat with the remaining gingerbread, pudding and whipped topping. Sprinkle the top with crushed ginersnaps. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor.
