4 - 5 cans kidney beans ( or 1 pound dry)
1 large bell pepper, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
2 - 3 celery stalks, chopped
3 - 4 cloves garlic, chopped or crushed
2 cups chopped ham
1 bay leaf
1 cup water

Directions:

Add all ingredients to crockpot. Cook all day on low heat. (If using dry kidney beans, soak them overnight before cooking.) Add more water if needed. Serve over cooked white rice.
