2 c. sugar
2 T. cocoa
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 T. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 3 ingredients. Cook to softball stage, remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla. Prick warm cake with fork, pour frosting over immediately.

This is my Dad's (Alva Shanks) favorite frosting with a white cake. Yellow cake is equally good.
