1/2 C. Sugar 1/2 T. Lemon juice
2 T. (rounded) Flour 1 Egg separated (white for icing)
2 T. Vinegar 1 C. Boiling Water

Directions:

Mix together, cook and pour into light baked crust. Top with beaten egg white and brown.

The recipes I am finding, hand written, in my grandmother's cook book. They usually only have the ingredients listed. Apparently one knew what they were to do with those ingredients and did not have to have directions! Aunt Mintie is Grandma Josie Hummer's sister.
