16 c. popped corn-put in large grocery bag 1 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. Karo light syrup 1 stick butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Combine brown sugar, syrup, butter, and salt. Microwave 2 minutes on high. Stir. Microwave 3 minutes more; stirring after each minute. Stir in well the vanilla and baking soda. Then, pour into bag over popcorn. Shake then microwave 1 minute. Shake then microwave 1 minute. Shake then microwave for 30 seconds. Shake then microwave for 30 seconds. Pour out on foil and cool.
I can still remember hearing mom shaking the bag and my mouth watering. Peggy got this recipe from the Reedsburg Paper in 1982.
