2 eggs
1 c sugar
1 c eggnog
1/2 c melted margarine
1 T rum extract (or 4 T rum)
1 t vanilla
2 1/4 c all-purpose flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/4 t nutmeg
1/2 c candied cherries (optional), or

1/2 c raisins (optional), or
1/2 c chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream eggs, sugar, eggnog, margarine, rum and vanilla till smooth. Fold in flour which has been mixed with baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Mix till smooth and fold in optional ingredients, if desired. Bake at 350 for 45-50 min in a 9 x 5 pan.
