1 1/2 c shortening
2 c sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c dark molasses
4 1/2 c flour
4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together. Add the eggs and molasses. Mix in the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and ginger. Chill dough for at least one hour. Shape 1 teaspoon dough into a ball. Roll in granulated sugar (don't flatten!) Bake at 400 for about 5-7 minutes. They burn fast so PLEASE WATCH THEM.
