1 3-4 lb brisket roast (not rolled)
1 large onion diced
1 tbsp butter
2 cup water
salt, pepper and paprika to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Using butter brown onion in a large roaster pan. Rub roast with mixture of salt. pepper and paprika. Place roast in pan, sear on both sides. Pour water over roast and bring to a boil. Cover and place in a 300 oven for 3-4 hours or until tender. 30 minutes before done you may take it out, slice and return to the roaster for the last 30 minutes.
