2 pounds fresh asparagus, trimmed
salt and pepper to taste
10 tablespoons butter

Directions:
Directions:
Place asparagus in shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Dot with 6 tablespoons butter. Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes at 300. Transfer to serving dish. Add remaining butter to pan juices and swirl to melt. Pour over asparagus.
