"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste
This recipe for Cinnamon Butter, by Damien Lehman, is from THE BIG BLUE JAR ,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 cup butter 2 1/2 cups packed brown sugar 2 1/2 tbsp. cinnamon
Have butter soft. Mix all ingredients together until spreadable. Resist the urge to add more butter. It would be easier to spread but loses much of the flavor and is too bland. Store in covered container in the refrigerator if you use butter. Spread on toast as desired.
