8 ounces cream cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
2 sticks butter softened
2 cups flour, sifted
Your favorite jam

Directions:
Directions:
Cream cream cheese, salt, sugar and butter until well blended. Work in 2 cups of sfted flour with fingers.Chill for several hours.

Preheat oven to 350.

Divide dough into thirds and roll out to 1/8" thickness.Cut into 3 inch squares. Put 1/2 teaspoon jam into the center of the square and fold corners to overlap. Bake 16-18 minutes until light brown.

When cool, spinkle with powdered sugar. YUM!

My mom would make these cookies and they would disappear!!! She told us girls she was making pocketbook cookies because of the shape!!! Maybe that's why we all like shopping so much.
