1 lg head cabbage
1 green pepper - sliced
1 onion - sliced
1 carrot - grated
1 can mandarin oranges
1/4 cup chopped dates
1/8 cup poppy seeds
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dry mustard
3/4 cup oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first seven ingredients in a bowl and add 3/4 cup sugar. In a pan heat vinegar, 1 tbsp sugar, salt, dry mustard and oil until boiling. Pour over salad and marinate overnight.
