3/4 c shortening
1 c brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c molasses
2 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar add egg, molasses and dry ingredients - chill dough. roll in small balls and dip in granulated sugar, place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 350 12-15 minutes
