2 c. heavy cream ;
2 c. milk ;
1-1/2 c. sugar ;
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract ;
1 tsp. cinnamon ;
1/8 tsp. salt ;
1-1/2 lbs. ripe fresh peaches, peeled and puréed.

Combine your cream and milk in a heavy saucepan over medium high heat. When mixture just begins to boil, remove from heat. Stir in half the sugar, and all the vanilla and cinnamon until sugar dissolves. Let cool. (Taste your puree first for sweetness and adjust sugar). Then, combine remaining sugar and salt with peach purée in a bowl. Mix thoroughly and set it aside until sugar dissolves. Stir sweetened milk mixture into peach purée. Chill in refrigerator. Freeze in an ice cream maker 20-30 minutes until frozen.

The peaches are sweet and juicy this year. Be sure to taste your peach puree to see how sweet it is and adjust the amount of sugar you use. The hardest part of following this recipe was always waiting for the ice cream to freeze. The easiest part was to grab a spoon and Enjoy!
